History & Significance

Shri Nageshi Temple has a long history dating back to the pre-Portuguese era. The temple was originally located in Nageshi village but was relocated to Bandora during the Portuguese religious persecution. The current structure reflects traditional Goan temple architecture and has been carefully maintained over centuries. The temple continues to be an important center of Shiva worship in Goa.
