History & Significance

The original Ramnathi Temple was located in Loutolim but was relocated to Bandora during the Portuguese era to protect it from destruction. The temple has evolved into a multi-deity complex over time, incorporating worship of various deities. The temple management follows ancient traditions while adapting to contemporary needs, making it an important religious institution in Goa.

Architecture

The temple complex features traditional Goan architecture with separate shrines for different deities within the same complex. The main shrine is dedicated to Ramnath (Shiva), with other shrines for Shanteri, Kamakshi, Laxmi Narayan, and other deities.
